This should have been so much better. The protagonist is the first in a line of megabarons that become great warriors, in part by ripping off parts of their body and adding cybernetic parts. It doesn’t present any new ideas. One hell of a ride. La Casta de Los Metabarones 1: Metabarlnes the shame of this collection is that by the end the things that I did not enjoy forced such a disconnection that I went right off the books, I read them, I still enjoyed the art but in the end I found I just didn’t care at all.

Though some of this seems to fade out in the first part of the book. To be honest, the fact that some writers I respect revere this book makes me lose a bit of respect for them. There does seem to be moments of light in all this grimness where a women is portrayed as brave, fleetingly, or the protagonist decides to save or help life rather than mindlessly destroy it.
I know what about techno-drink? Published October by Mondadori first published October Metabaroens surrealistic for me, the behaviour of the metabarons has less and mefabarones sense with each generation. After The Incal I had high expectations for Jodorowsky’s comic work and have bought most wherever I’ve come across it, but every time I get around to reading subsequent books up I’m disappointed.
If metqbarones are going to have MASSIVE time shifts in the story to show an epic scale and the passage of time why not actually have things change in them?

The themes explored can be off putting and borderline offensive. It was a lot more fun than I expected. The author threw in some surprises that were very well done. The tale actually begins well, we have 2 robot mftabarones who are effectively a chorus for mftabarones of the story, narrating and commenting and giving asides and then the story itself.
